FAQ

1- WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

Please see pricing section

2- HOW DO I PAY MY BOOKING FEE?

E-transfer (or PayPal for US/international clients)! Once you’ve received your “project accepted” email, all relevant information will be included.

3- HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO PAY ON THE DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT?

You can pay with cash or Debit!

4- DO YOU DO COVER-UPS?

Yes — I’m happy to take on a cover-up as long as I’m 100% confident that I can make it work. An in-person consultation is required so I can see the tattoo in person, discuss your ideas, and evaluate the possibilities. For the best results, I ask that you keep an open mind during the design process, as flexibility often leads to the strongest outcome.

5- CAN I BRING A FRIEND WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

You may bring 1 guest with you to your appointment. It's a small studio :3

6- IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD DO TO PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Make sure you eat well, sleep well, and hydrate well! If you can, exfoliate and moisturize the area in the days prior to your appointment! Always a good idea to bring a little snack or lunch with you too! We have a fridge/microwave that you are welcomed to use <3

AFTERCARE

SECOND SKIN (SANIDERM)

Leave the second skin on for a minimum of 24 hours. The bandage is waterproof to an extent, so you can shower with it on—no problem! You should aim to leave it on for up to five days (the longer, the better!). Just avoid baths, hot tubs, or pools during this time. ✨As long as you're wearing the second skin, there’s nothing you need to do. (Easy, right?)* If you’ve already let me know that you’re allergic to medical adhesives, I likely applied absorbent pads or plastic wrap instead. In this case, remove the covering as soon as you're able to clean the tattoo properly, then skip ahead to the Aftercare Instructions section. 😊

WHAT TO EXPECT

It’s normal for your bandage to fill with fluid. While it might look a little gross, don’t worry—it’s part of the healing process and actually beneficial for your tattoo. You shouldn't try to drain the bandage; the fluid should dry up on its own over time. Some mild itchiness or discomfort may occur, which is also normal. It’s best to avoid any exercise that causes excessive sweating while you're wearing the bandage, since you won’t be able to properly clean your tattoo during this stage.

WHAT'S NOT NORMAL

➜ While some pain, itchiness, swelling, and mild discomfort are normal during the healing process, here are a few signs that something may be wrong:➜ Excessive redness or a rash within the borders of the bandage.➜ Blistering around the edges of the bandage. These may indicate a sensitivity, or an allergic reaction to the adhesive. If you notice any of these symptoms, please remove the bandage immediately. Similarly, if the bandage is coming off on its own or leaking, it should also be removed right away, as escaping liquid can allow bacteria to enter.

REMOVING THE BANDAGE

Remember, a fresh tattoo is an open wound and should be treated with care. The last thing you want is an infection—so make sure to wash your hands thoroughly before touching the area.I always recommend removing the bandage under lukewarm running water, as this can help loosen the adhesive and make removal more comfortable.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

Once the bandage is removed, wash your tattoo immediately with a gentle, unscented soap and lukewarm water. If you’re using a bar of soap, please make sure it's used exclusively for your tattoo—using the same bar for regular showers can transfer bacteria.Pat the area dry with a paper towel. Paper towels are best, as regular towels can harbor bacteria. After washing, apply a very thin layer of unscented moisturizer. In my experience, Aveeno for babies works great—but any unscented moisturizer will do. Avoid any ointments or petroleum-based products; creams are best.Continue washing your tattoo at least twice daily—morning and night—and moisturize as needed. You should also repeat this routine after any workouts. The first week of aftercare is the most important for keeping your tattoo clean and promoting proper healing. As your tattoo heals, it will become dry and begin to flake and peel. Do not pick at your tattoo under any circumstances, as this can cause bleeding, infection, or loss of ink. Regular cleaning and moisturizing should continue until the peeling process is complete.

SOME TIPS

➜ Avoid direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks.➜ Do not go swimming until the peeling process is over.➜ Once your tattoo is fully healed, applying sunscreen is the best way to keep it looking vibrant over time. Sun damage can cause fading and make linework and colors appear blurry.➜ Moisturizing your tattoos—even after they’ve fully healed—helps keep them looking bright and fresh! 😊➜ Itchiness is completely normal during the healing process. Please never scratch your tattoo! Instead, gently rub or apply a small amount of moisturizer.➜ Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or
concerns!
Happy healing!
